Only Me and Me

Leave your ego behind you

The most important thing in the real world is to leave the ego behind you.  Realizng you really don’t matter that much to most people in the world prevents psychological delusion and self-imposed embarassment.
I have learned to shrug off to many things long time ago.  In many cases when it’s not your high moment, the best thing to do is to shut up and walk away.  You actually don’t look as bad as you think.  Cuz no one actually cared.
90% of what’s happened in our life can be categorized as "Don’t Care", really.  It’s neither important nor necessary to position yourself to be someone that wants to get everything right.  Because even if you do, people may just not pay attention.  And many things that you think affect your life, if you think about them twice, they are really an attachment not a core piece.  Examples?  Your favorite sports team, a movie star, a traffic violation, or a quarrel on an Internet BBS.
I always believe that leaving you out, the earth still revolves.  I also believe leaving 90% the world out, your life still revolves.
But to the 10% of the things that does matter and to the few people that do care about you and you care about, don’t mess up and don’t let them down.  Better, try to concentrate your attention on those, really, these things are unrecoverable once they are lost.
The key here?  Know what’s the 90% and what’s the 10%.

90% is even a little less figure. Men tend to delude themselves into being important but unfortunately the truth is not.
My point is Don\’t care too much about others. Make youself as better as you can and try to expand your influence as larger as you can.

Don\’t care too much about others
    Man, we \’re human ..
have fresh and blood, have uncontrollable feeling.
    OK , OK. Never Mind.
At least, you\’re safe from any possible hurt. ( Shrug )

@ Steven: I am totally with you on this one, : )
    @ 管管: Yup,
@ minori: I think you took Steven\’s comment out of the context, : )  What he\’s really saying is that trying not to pay attention to what others say about you or what others are doing, rather, just focus on your mission and your goal.  He is not saying "being indifferent" to things, : )
P.S.: Good that you caught the mistake yourself, ; )

This is something really good. It might be hard for some people who have high social-expectation in personality to ignore others\’ comments. But it is important for everyone to figure out who is among the 10% that he/she can never afford to lose.

    @ Smiling-Elf: 其实我的意思是很多时候我们过于在意很多其实可以一笑了之的事情而对于我们真的该关心的那些人又投入的不够多,: )
